This is a straight leg, regular fit with a mid to high rise cut with a zipper fly. 505s are very straight, and the hip/bum area tends to run more narrow than a 501. The back and front panels are equal width, unlike the 501, which gives you a more tailored look. The 505 from the 80s and 90s tend to have a slightly lower rise than those made in the 70s.

This style was introduced in 1967 and was an iconic style in the 1970s, made famous among others by The Ramones or by the Rolling Stone's Sticky Fingers album cover.

Orange Tab (1969-1999): Levi’s introduced a budget-friendly line of fashion jeans — they were less expensive and less burly than worker jeans — that had an orange tab instead of a red one. These have become extremely popular in the world of vintage Levis!

Leg: Considered Straight, but vintage “straight” is a bit tapered (in my opinion). All ankle opening measurements will be in the photos of each listing.

Rise: Mid to High Rise. Typically, the bigger the waist size, the higher the rise. 70s 505s tend to have a higher rise than those made in the 80s/90s.
