1971/72 Levi’s USA 505 Tag n/an Actual 27/28x29.75

$399.00
Sold Out

The 505: straight leg - zip fly - slightly higher rise than a 501 & cut slightly more slim/narrow in the hip/bum region.

*Originally men’s jeans, now & forevermore unisex*

NOTE: these were very likely made in 1971/1972.  They have many characteristics of a Big E pair, but don’t.  They don’t have the inside care tag, bc they didn’t start being added inside until 1973. Hence the price.  If they were big E they’d be double, but these are just as good in regards to quality/wash/specialness

MATERIAL: 100% Cotton

FLY: talon zip

WASH: beautiful classic indigo medium blue wash with gorgeous subtle organic sun fades. Sashiko repair. Lots of lemon yellow thread.

DECADE: 1971/1972

FLAT LAY MEASUREMENTS (in inches):

WAIST: 14

RISE: 10.5

INSEAM: 29.75

HIP: measurements in photos. *Please don’t forget to measure these two measurements, shown in the photos, as this will ensure they fit you in the hips and bum area. Also, keep in mind that 505 tend to run a little slimmer in those areas.* I recommend checking the hip measurement FIRST & going from there.

EXPECTATIONS OF VINTAGE JEANS

Keep in mind, vintage jeans are not new jeans. Every pair is at least 20 years old, most are older. This means they’ve been worn and likely have signs of wear - i.e. thinning areas, loose threads, signs of previous repair work, discolorations, faint (or not so faint stains), organic distressing, wear at the rivets, wear at the button holes. I do my best to describe these areas/signs of wear&tear, so please - before you buy - understand that you may receive your jeans and there will be signs of aging. Most buy vintage jeans wanting this, but if you want pristine new looking jeans, vintage likely isn’t for you. And that’s A-OK!
